Once upon a time there were two sisters.  One, Judy, went to Hollywood as a writer.  The other, Margien, went to Hollywood in production. Both had long, successful careers in prime time television.  One day, after both had left that magical kingdom, they discovered a project they both loved.  Thus was born, “The Lotus Monster”, a children’s book that blossomed from Judy’s daughter, Shannon, after she lived in Japan.  That mutual interest and  love of Japan is reflected in every word and illustration in the book.
